No bandage? No problem.

RediHeal Wound Care Ointment delivers rapid, virtually scar-free healing perfect for healing second intention wounds in dogs, cats, horses, birds, and exotic animals—without antibiotics or steroids.

The same borate-based bioactive technology you love as a fiber, in a hydrophilic base that maintains optimal moisture balance. Perfect for wounds you can't wrap - facial lacerations, paw pads, pressure sores, hot spots. Easy to apply (1-4 times daily), safe if licked, and simple enough to confidently send home with owners who need clear instructions and visible results.

Bandage-optional protocol improves compliance and reduces stress on patients who won't tolerate wrap.

Why Practices Are Switching

  • Cleaner and more cost-effective than medical-grade honey. Medical-grade Manuka honey works, but it's expensive per treatment and creates a sticky mess that complicates bandaging and frustrates your staff. RediHeal delivers comparable antimicrobial protection and angiogenic stimulation without the hassle—at a lower cost per application.

  • Natural antimicrobial protection without resistance concerns. No antibiotics means no resistance issues. No steroids means no systemic side effects. Just bioactive glass supporting the body's own healing mechanisms while preventing secondary infections.

  • Clinical support that actually answers the phone. Call 888-289-1890 and talk to someone who understands wound management and can help you troubleshoot specific cases.

  • Published, peer-reviewed evidence. This isn't experimental—it's proven science that's been used in orthopedic applications for decades, now optimized for soft tissue wound care.

How Bioactive Materials Work

When RediHeal contacts wound fluids, the borate-based fibers immediately begin transforming the wound environment through four simultaneous mechanisms:

Instant Scaffold Formation: The glass reacts with wound fluid to create a fibrin-like matrix that promotes cell adhesion and migration. This isn't just "covering" the wound - it's providing the architectural framework cells need to move in and start rebuilding tissue.

Rapid Angiogenic Stimulus: Trace elements including copper and calcium are released as the fibers degrade, triggering new capillary bed development. More blood vessels mean more oxygen, more nutrients, and faster granulation tissue formation. In published veterinary studies, wounds that showed zero granulation tissue after 5+ days of conventional care developed complete granulation coverage in an average of 4.8 days after bioactive glass application.

Optimized Moisture Balance: The hydrophilic properties maintain the appropriately moist environment that modern wound science demands (a dry cell is a dead cell), while the semi-occlusive nature allows oxygen exchange. No stinging, no burning—just comfortable healing.

Continuous Antimicrobial Action: The pH shifts created by glass degradation provide ongoing infection prevention without pharmaceutical intervention. You're protecting the wound while avoiding the resistance issues that come with topical antibiotics.

The clinical bottom line? You're not just treating a wound—you're actively engineering the conditions for accelerated healing.

  • I wanted to give you a brief update on a case you helped me with. Poppyseed is a geriatric cat with wounds on her tarsi due to an Achilles problem. They had ben using the RediHeal ointment and you sent me a sample of the fibers (late October 2025). I sent the sample to the owner and she used as instructed (we discussed using with ointment). The owner called today to let me know Poppyseed 's wound is vastly improved and she thinks it was associated with the addition of the fibers.
